We do not collect or use sensitive personal information, as defined under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), for the purpose of inferring characteristics about consumers. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or any purpose not explicitly permitted under CPRA Section 1798.121.

e. Data Retention Policy

The retention period varies depending on the type of data and the reason for its collection. For example:

  • SMS opt-in records: retained for 5 years to demonstrate compliance with TCPA and CTIA regulations.

  • Customer support data: retained for 2 years after resolution.

  • Inactive account data: purged after 24 months of inactivity, unless otherwise required by law.

After these periods, we securely delete or anonymize your personal data unless legal obligations require us to retain it longer.


2. SMS Consent & TCPA Compliance

a. SMS Opt-In

By providing your mobile number and opting in via form, keyword, or verbally recorded agreement, you consent to receive recurring informational and marketing text messages from RevText.

All opt-ins are logged with a timestamp, source, and method of consent to comply with TCPA and CTIA requirements.

b. Mobile Opt-In Data Protection

RevText does not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise transfer mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent data to any third party for marketing purposes. Your mobile number and text message consent information are collected solely for the purpose of delivering SMS communications from RevText and our direct clients.

We maintain strict controls over mobile opt-in data and do not share this information with third-party marketers, data brokers, or advertising networks. 

Mobile phone numbers collected through our platform remain confidential and are used exclusively for:

  • Delivering text messages you have explicitly consented to receive
  • Maintaining compliance records as required by law
  • Processing opt-out requests and managing consent preferences

Any third-party service providers who assist in SMS message delivery (such as telecommunications carriers and platform infrastructure providers) are contractually prohibited from using your mobile number for any purpose other than facilitating the delivery of messages you have authorized.
